Are there 10 acre (or so) properties with streams and cabins in the Evergreen area or is it more city like than that? I have driven through and see alot of new homes, are there older cabins and land avialble?

Whatever you have:-). Prices range from cabins, or homes without garages, for under $200,000 up to multi-million-dollar luxury homes with fabulous views, and everything in between. There are also some condos.

Hi Kristin:
There have been about 462 homes sold with an Evergreen, Colorado address in 2012. "BroncoFan" is close on the average price. The Metrolist database shows closer to $347,000, and the Average Sales Price is actually down a little bit over last year. The number/volume of sales is up over 2011 statistics. (In 2011 about 360 homes were sold.) We also have a lower inventory of homes For Sale than in years past.
Lenders and feds are making purchases easier again if you have good credit and a regular job. I would encourage you to visit with your lender. There are plenty of homes priced from $200,000 - $300,000, although you might need to invest some dollars in updating. Evergreen offers a strong community of families and family-oriented events. You might also look at Conifer, Golden, or Morrison. I look forward to answering any of your questions.
