I moved to Evergreen because it is beautiful, and offers a great lifestyle: Hiking, biking, the Evergreen Lake and Lake House, ice skating, free concerts and events, great schools, and a real community atmosphere. All that, and it is only a 20 minute commute to the wonderful city of Denver, and only 40 minutes to Denver International Airport. And, going the other way, it is only 45 minutes to the ski mountains that offer activities winter and summer. Furthermore, the weather is, for me, close to perfect: perfect summers with temperatures around 75-85 during the day (cooler at night), and wonderful winters with temperatures around 40-45 during the day (although we do have cold fronts that come through with colder weather and snow). All of this with very low humidity and an average of 300 days a year with sunshine. Other places may be a bit less expensive, but no other place offers all of the advantages of Evergreen.
