You would probably find some, depending on whether or not IBM is hiring. That's the big ticket company located in town and it employs a good many people, but in the newspapers around here, you only ever hear when it's laying off, not when it's hiring, so I can't say I know. There are local businesses here like restaurants and shops, and you'll find supermarkets and other places where one can work. There are some white collar opportunities here as well, but not as many as you'd get in a place like Poughkeepsie.
I'm sure that if you looked in East Fishkill, you'd probably turn up some openings, but I can't say there would be a lot. I just ran a search myself and only came up with 5 in the whole town right now, but I'm sure it varies.
