The main grocery store downtown is Kroger, located on Vine St. Many of the smaller, family-owned stores have closed in recent years, but if you're looking to buy from local vendors, check out Findlay Market, located on Race St. and open year-round: www.findlaymarket.org/.

The Vine Street Kroger is the only neighborhood grocery store, but with the growth of new and redeveloped housing in Over-the-Rhine and Downtown, they are trying to improve their offerings and be more friendly for their newer neighbors. The Vine Street Kroger has always been kind of a scary place, but it has certainly improved in recent years. If they don't have something you frequently buy that they don't carry, contact the store manager and they will probably try to stock it for you. Besides Kroger, you can find a lot of grocery items at Findlay Market, as well as at Park + Vine.
