Would you consider Congress Park a good area for families with smaller children? The opinions expressed here are those of the individual and not those of StreetAdvisor. Report
If you had asked that question a decade ago, it may have been a different story. However, currently Congress Park is an excellent place to raise a family. The surrounding areas have truly stepped up their game and started to preserve their unique history and heritage. You are incredibly close to the Denver Zoo and the Museum of Nature and Science, which is fantastic for exciting children and engaging their natural wonder and curiosity. The Denver Botanical Gardens is also immensely close and they have a children's garden and activities for all ages throughout the year. There is also an abundant number of shops and restaurants to visit and experience, creating a diverse palette for your children as they grow into adulthood. This area of town is terrific and has really come together with pride in their community.

A very good friend of mine bought an adorable little bungalow in Congress Park when she was young and single. Then she got married and had two little boys, and she still lives in that same bungalow, and she loves it! As Shiloh said, it's close to some great Denver children's activities, and easy walking to restaurants and out for an after-dinner ice cream treat!
