"Mostly Commercial"

Cascade Road is a long street in Atlanta that runs through many communities; some good, some not so good. This section of Cascade happens to be not so good. The reason why this particular section does not receive such a good rating is because it is mostly commercial, and not high end or mid range commercial. There are a number of store fronts and mom and pop operations that is a good thing. Small businesses need every opportunity to thrive, and given the current economy with many big businesses laying off and closing down, small business and enterprise, are to be commended.

The difficulty is that many of these mom and pop operations are stacked on top of each other with very little residential or upper end retail or other kinds of businesses that can bring the collective value of the neighborhood up.

This is not a neighborhood designed for living, although those with small business interest may find it appealing.
Pros
  • small business district
  • access to public transportation
Cons
  • moderate to low end services
  • limited parking outside of business parking lots
Recommended for
  • Hipsters
