I am a carnivore, but my best friend is vegan -- he says the ONLY true vegan restaurant is Native, in the 29th St Mall, near Verizon and AT&T. Here's the kicker, I normally don't enjoy vegan-friendly restaurants he takes me to (other than Chinese), but Native tastes good to me, and I am actually happy Ito go there.

My husband and I are vegetarian, and find ourselves with fantastic options at almost any local restaurant in Boulder. Leaf, on Pearl and 16th is a fantastic vegetarian restaurant, but it was more of a special occasion place for us. Boulder really caters to vegetarians, and most places that have the typical beef or chicken options will have a tofu option as well. The Huckleberry in Louisville makes the best homemade veggie patty, which you can put on any of their burger options (our carnivore friends swore it was better than a regular burger). Hapa (Pearl St., Boulder) makes great asparagus tempura sushi. For cheap vegetarian, Kim's on the Hill has a great Lo Mein Tofu, and Curry Tofu Vegetable.

My Wife is vegetarian so one of the spots we like going to lately is Jai-Ho on 28th Street. Excellent Indian food with a lot of vegetarian options. I recommend the Masala Dosa.
