Are there any good dog parks in Boulder?

There are two enclosed dog parks in Louisville! One up by Davidson Mesa off of McCaslin. That one has fantastic views of the mountains and Boulder Valley. The other is at the new Louisville Community Park. It has a little pond that the dogs can swim/fetch balls in, as well as just a big fenced in area to run in. Both of those enclosed dog parks are adjacent to trails for hiking/biking, and parking lots. Parking at the Davidson Mesa can be tricky as the lot is pretty small, but there is additional parking across the street to the east at Harper Lake. The city is currently planning an underpass to connect these two open spaces.

Yes, Boulder is famous for its dog parks. The two dog centered parks I think of are the fenced in lake where people throw tennis balls into the water, that one is part of the East Boulder Rec Center property. And the dog park on Valmont Road, east of Foothills HIghway is a great doggy park that is right next to the amazing bike park out there.

I don't know of any enclosed dog parks, but some people keep their dogs on leash and if you get lucky you may be the only one there or only one of a few.
