Has Galewood changed in the last 20 years?

Seeking a family friendly community in Chicago.

Is the community still pretty safe and quiet? I had a home on Rutherford years ago before my job took me elsewhere. Moving back to the city soon with my family in tow and want to purchase a home in a nice quiet area Thanks.
