Atlanta is filled with so many super cool, up-and-coming neighborhoods. I've made a little list below, based off 3 different categories:

Totally New Up-and-Coming Neighborhoods:

There are a few neighborhoods in Atlanta that are practically brand new, and have only been around for the past few years. The great thing about new neighborhoods, is that new houses and apartments often attract new shopping centers (or sometimes it's the other way around). I digress... if you are in Atlanta and are considering living in a newer community, you might want to consider Atlantic Station or the Camp Creek area. You might also want to check out Princeton Lakes; it is practically located in the surrounding Camp Creek area. Atlantic Station can get a little pricey, but Camp Creek is really affordable (depending on your budget).

Historic Neighborhoods That Are Making a Come Back:

These are neighborhoods that were most likely really nice at one time, went downhill, and are now making a come back (through gentrification). These neighborhoods include, Castleberry Hills, Collier Heights, Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Westview, West End, Downtown, Candler Park and Grant Park. There are honestly sooooo many neighborhoods that are undergoing new developments, that I just can't name them all. Most of these neighborhoods still have pretty reasonable living costs. But, I must say, if you are looking to relocate to any of these communities, please visit the actual block you will be living on. Some blocks may be better restored and maintained than others.

Just All Around Cool Neighborhoods That Everybody Wants to Live In:

Ok, this last category is for those neighborhoods that are just so cool and hip and full of life. In addition, some of these neighborhoods may actually intersect with the two above categories. These happening communities include, Buckhead, Virginia Highland, Poncey Highland, Midtown, Piedmont Park, Ansley Park, East Atlanta, North Druid Hills and Little Five Points.

There is always something new and exciting happening in local Atlanta developments. You have so many different options to choose from. Have fun!
