"The Lobbyists thoroughfare"

The street has many multi-story office buildings that house many lobbyist firms. One interesting tenant of K Street is Al Jazeera, the station that sends out videos from Osama bin Laden. Franklin Park provides and nice break from the hustle and bustle of the comings and goings on of the nations hardest negotiators.

"dead on the weekend"

Like most of downtown DC, K Street buzzes with activity on the weekdays but is absolutely dead on the weekends. Not even tourists, I mean. Food in this area is decent (again, on weeknights), but it’s not exactly full of night life. Lots of high-powered suits worn in this area, so beware of attitudes.
