"The Play Road"

Like all the Central Park transverses, 85th street makes a quick and easy link between the east and west sides of the park. It's not particularly scenic in a lot of parts because cars go whizzing through this transverse and a lot of the road is windy so it seems a bit dangerous for small children to be milling about.
The main attractions off this transverse seem to be all about playing. This road provides the quickest link to the basketball and softball fields as well as the children's playground. You can get to any of the other attractions in the park off this road -- like Summer Stage, Shakespeare in the Park, etc., but it's a little high north for those so it'll be a bit of a hike, though a lovely one. No roads in this park are bad, by any stretch. They're all great in their own way. I don't use this one a ton because most of the things I do in the park are a bit further south, but it's a fine way to get through the park.

"On 85th Street"

85th Street in Brooklyn is a major thoroughfare, with lots of interesting stores, businesses, and restaurants. I like this area of Brooklyn, and it was very active and full of life. It wasn’t as dormant as some of the other streets nearby. I think that this is a great street to consider if you’re thinking of moving to the city. With the subway conveniently nearby and plenty of buses, this street is also very well connected to the midtown area. All in all, this is a great street!
