49th St Northeast, Deanwood

49th ST NE has changed for the better. At one point in time this was a drug strip. Now it is fairly peaceful again. 49th ST is basically inhabited by older people most of them home owners. There are new homes being built on all of the side streets that are coming along nicely. 49th ST is walking distance from deanwood Metro station making it an easy commute for anyone. The value of the new homes are very reasonable for what's being offered. There aren't many retail store in the area but the few that are there are fairly inexpensive. I would recommend anyone to move there.
