I would say Barnes and Noble in the City Center complex. You are surrounded by books, the coffee is Starbucks, and the seats are comfortable. Also, despite being situated in an "indoor mall" setting, the cafe area is very conducive to quiet reading time. Plus, we need to keep our book stores alive... the pages smell great!

Starbucks which is in downtown White Plains could be a good place. They are located at 200 Main Street across from Macy's and the Ritz.
