"Food CENTRAL is here"

This place can be considered heaven for food lovers. Hundreds of restaurants line the streets, each with their own flavor and style, each with their own delicious menus, and each with their own potential memories. Stop here once, stop here often, you've got to so you can say you've tried some of the most magnificant food stops in the City.

"Great food and drink"

This is usually considered as the best area for exquisite dining or sweet bar hopping. The food here is unparalleled for quality, and each restaurant down the street is a must eat at, so you better hope you're hungry when you get there! And of course, if bars are more your types, hit some of them up. For any way of nourishing the body, this is pretty much the best street.

"The main sights to see"

The best tourist spots in New York City are here, or can be seen from here. The Empire State Building is usually a hot spot to visit, and is right here on 12th avenue. The Statue of Liberty is easily seen, but is not the access point to visit it up close. It's great though, as the Empire State building is usually one of the most-seen places in NYC.

"THE Night Scene"

I love night scenes in cities, and this is my favorite out of almost any. The street is quiet while the sun is out, almost no activity or life. You could almost mistake it for abandoned. But when the moon comes out, so do the party animals. The clubs are amazingly fun, and they're everywhere you turn. If you love the club scene, make this a must-stop visit and you won't regret it.

"Great scenery, but thats the limit"

This is a great place to come and see the scenery and enjoy the views. This is probably one of the best places to see for a view, but there never felt like there was much more to see here. It's great if you have a family and would like to relax near a bay, which is around the corner, but there are more things to do elsewhere around the city.

"Little, noisy, unorganized"

If you're Brazilian or love Brazil, this is great for you. But if not, it seems like an overly noisy, tiny area with a few Brazilian-themed items dwarfed out by the natural 'beauty' of New York City. Brazilian food is good, but nothing to write home about. It's great if you have nothing else to do or are of Brazilian decent, but otherwise it can be skipped.

"A typical downtown experience"

Cobblestone streets are the mood setter here, and they set it well. There are some of the best places to eat here, great pizza and vegan joints. There are tons of overly expensive old-style items, but that's expected downtown. This is a nice walk down the street and a quick bite to eat, but far from a must-see area in New York City.

"Not my cup of tea, but good for what it is"

It's gay street, basically. I ended up down it by accident, but just went down the road for a quick look around. If gay street is your kinda thing, you're going to love it. The experience would be great, with plenty to do, see, and eat. There's bars, clubs, karaoke, great restaurants, pretty much anything a good street needs is located here.

"Bright, noisy, bring it on."

If you like out of control, up-beat tempo, and sheer wildness, this is your place. It is a tourist camp it seems like, so I fit in pretty much perfectly. It almost has a touch of Vegas, with all of the neon and what-not, but it also has theatres for a great experience. So you can experience it all, I suggest taking a few hours out of a night and stopping by.

"Great bar for a good place"

In my opinion, the only real place worth visiting is the Telephone bar. It is one of my first memories of New York City, and it was a good experience. It's a real throwback to London, which is where I spent some of my youth. It was a shot of nastalgia, which only added to the great atmosphere. A must-visit for any bar lovers coming to New York.

"Museums Museums, everywhere!"

If you like museums, or learning, or a combination of those two, this is perfect for you. The entire area is beautiful, as this is where most of the ambassadors live. Go to the Metro museum, or any of the other several ones for a great learning experience. Enjoy the scenes and knowledge you're going to obtain and absorb!

"From Church to Seinfeld"

On one side of the street, you can be in 'heaven', so to speak. St. John's cathedral is located here, which is great if you've never seen a cathedral before. Go down to the other end of the street, and take a quick visit to Tom's Restaurant, immortilized in the amazing show called Seinfeld. Of course this is a must-see for any fan! From church to comedy, a great experience.

"A "hip" place to shop"

Each time that I have visited the Union Square area, I can't help but think it's where all the 'hipsters' decided would be a cool place to hang out. But beyond that simple observation, this a great place to shop. My personal favorite, Virgin MegaRecords has a location here, as well as several shoe stores.

"A pleasing walk through the park"

Beautiful park to your left, and college atmosphere to your right. What's not to like? Musicians are scattered across the grass, providing nice background noise for a romantic walk through the park. This park seems to be less crowded than the rest, so it is usually a great destination for taking any tourists to take a breath from the busy city.

"An overall GREAT experience"

This was the first place my brother took me when I first visited him. It left an awesome taste in my mouth, and I would love to come back to it one day. The cafes, coffee shops, and restauraunts are AMAZING, and are always humming with business. The music, book, and misc. stores are a great touch, and one can burn through money by simply visiting these stores.

"Great place for the underground!"

And by underground, I mean underground movies. If you're a fan of indie or foreign films, this is your dream come true. When I visited my brother, I had never actually seen a foreign film. This started, and cemented, my love for the non-hollywood films. They're great, possibly romantic, and always a new experience. Definently reccomended for anyone who wants a fun movie night.

"The must-see area"

This is usually the number one on any tourists guide. Why? Pretty simple actually, it's a straight ferry shot to Ellis Island and of course the Statue of Liberty. In New York City, nothing is worth seeing more than the Statue of Liberty. The entire area is beautiful, and is great for families and any tourists in the area.

"My favorite place to be in NYC"

Wall street is by far my favorite place in New York City. Business has always fascinated me, so naturally what is seen as the business street of the world. The area has an upbeat pace, lots of quick places to get a quick bite or a quick coffee. Nothing really stands out, except the obvious excess of wealth, but it's a good experience to simply say you've walked down Wall Street.

"Diverse and lovely"

Columbus Avenue is an extremely diverse road, with what seems like a new personality every block. One block might be a center for overlypriced clothing and random items, while another might be a genuinely diverse neighborhood. Great places to eat line almost every block. It's a great street overall, one of the few good, diverse streets in the city.

"Get your cheap clothing here"

Talk about busy. It's always crowded, but that comes with the territory of having cheap items on every street corner. China Town is a great place to pick up some cheap knock-offs, and are always available. There are great places left and right to spend some time (and of course money). Always a great time here.
