"Not too much going on on this street"

East 6th street in Long Beach is one that I've always used as a driving street, or the one I'd rather wait for the bus on. There isn't much ever going on, it more just passes through the downtown area and nearby suburbs without supporting much more than basic average income housing. There are a couple stores as well, but more downtown than in the suburbs.

"Mixed qualities on this street"

East 10th Street in Long Beach runs through upscale residential areas, which are beautifully kept. There is a hospital on this street, as well as recreational facilities and a school. There are some local corner stores shops, not too much that is major, but it's a safe place to live. As it moves farther east it gets progressively worse.

"A street to meet all 5 senses"

East Broadway in downtown Long Beach has everything you need for a fun-filled afternoon. There are excellent spas that are fairly modest in price, internet cafes, restaurants, and convenient stores. At it's cross with Long Beach Boulevard, you are pretty much in the center of everything going on in downtown Long Beach.

"Great hangout street!"

East 1st street in Long Beach is excellent for strolling along on a lazy day. Filled with delightful coffee shops, mom and pop stores, clothing stores, and not to mention beautiful plants and trees. There are often scenes shot for TV shows in stores along this street, so keep you eyes peeled for something interesting.

"Great residential street"

Cedar Avenue runs alongside all the great shops and restaurants in downtown Long Beach, all the way up to beautiful residential neighborhoods (where even one of the Senators of California lives!). There are front and back yards to the houses along the way, and it's great for pedestrians, with many stop signs and crosswalks.

"Great and varied street in Long Beach, CA"

East 7th street in Long Beach, California is a varied street that really covers a lot of ground in every sense of the term. Running from the Pacific Coast Highway to the 710, this road goes through upper class suburbia, retail hubs, beautiful parks, a university, and across the upper part of Long Beach's downtown area. There is something for everyone.

"Not a very safe street to live on"

Martin Luther King Jr Avenue in Long Beach is a pretty derelict area. There is a lot of poverty and drug addicts that roam this street. It's mainly low-income housing and not much else other than the occasional corner store or gas station at a major street crossing. This really isn't a street I would ever recommend someone to visit.

"Top street to visit in Long Beach, CA"

Atlantic Avenue is another good hub of entertainment and leisure in Long Beach. Next to Long Beach Boulevard, they offer the next best wealth of entertainment. There are many good restaurants that you could try, and then head over to the great theatre they have. There are also more mom and pop shops on this street than Long Beach Boulevard.

"One of the best streets in Long Beach, CA"

Long Beach Boulevard is one of the most active streets in Long Beach, which I find makes it the safest during the day. There are shopping centers, Wal-Mart, Albertsons, many pharmacies, and one of the most important, the subway to Los Angeles runs along this street. Down towards the water, there are many restaurants and cafe's that lead down to the beach.

"Not the safest place to live"

Living on Olive Avenue in Long Beach, California can be a little scary, even during daylight hours. I never walked around alone once the sun went down. It's a very poverty stricken area, with many drug addicts that roam over from the beach (a 15 minute walk away) where many of them live. The best place is the intersection of Olive Avenue and Long Beach Blvd, where there is a big shopping area.
