"Nice, Newer Neighborhood"

Like most of Alameda, Dolphin Court is absolutely beautiful, from the architecture to the beautiful vistas. Alameda has a lot of beautiful architecture, including the Victorian architecture. Dolphin Court, however, does not have any Victorian houses, but rather new, Mexican stucco style houses. It is such a beautiful sight. I lived here for a few months and loved it. Nice and sunny all the time, with the California relaxed feel that everyone loves. The houses are pretty big and not too expensive, compared to much of Cali. Alameda borders Oakland, but Dolphin Court is far enough away from the crimeland that everyone could live here!

"Cute, quiet place"

East San Mateo is a calm quiet place where anyone can live. I lived here for about 6 months with my family. If you have the American dream of a quaint house with a white picket fence and a dog, come here! White picket fences were everywhere in this neighborhood. Great place to live for a family. This is a very safe neighborhood, with practically no crime whatsoever. I don’t know of any incidents in the 6 months I lived there. Great restaurants are nearby. Go to Fish Market Restaurant in East San Mateo! It’s definitely a classic place for East San Mateons. Get the Dean’s Prawns! Fresh, delicious seafood on the waterside.

"I Absolutely Loved This Place"

This was one of my favorite places to live in California. Right near the ocean, right near my favorite restaurant (King Wah Restaurant) and right near Palisades Park! If you’ve ever been to the park, I’m sure you love it. You can see for miles upon miles looking around. On sunny days, you can even see the Marin headlands and the Golden Gate Bridge! There are some nice, big, pretty homes in this area. Crestview is great for families, singles, and retirees. Everyone can find something to like about this place. It’s near just about everything you’d need and it’s absolutely beautiful.

"Great American Neighborhood"

I lived all over California for a total span of 4 years. My father moved us every time he found a new job. Palomar drive was not my favorite place in California, but it was nice. We stayed in Palomar, Redwood City for about 5 months. Its a calm, quiet neighborhood where mostly families live. The area is very slow-paced, with dirt roads in practically every driveway. There aren't many foreigners here, so don't expect to find any authentic ethnic restaurants around here! On Palomar drive, there weren't any restaurants at all, just family houses. If you like to spend time with your family, come here. If you like the more fast paced lifestyle, steer clear of Palomar Drive.

"Great Place to Live for Anyone"

Carroll Gardens is the best place to live, hands down! I have lived in Park Slope and various parts of Brooklyn Heights over the years and I love Carroll Gardens the best! Being between Court and Smith streets has been the best decision of my life. The shops and restaurants in this area are suitable for any age. This place is very safe and friendly for those of you scared of moving to Brooklyn. Prices are high, as to be expected by Brooklyn Heights, but its well worth it. This place is good for kids with all of the playgrounds, good for singles and couples who like a calm area, and great for retirees, too!

"Place with Fun Surprises"

If you want to go shopping in Brooklyn and see everyone you have ever met, go to Fulton Street. Fulton Mall has plenty of great shopping places, with stores you have seen before and stores that you haven't. Food is everywhere, but crime is lurking everywhere as well. I used to go to the burger king there everyday when I was younger, but the last time I went there it was dirty. Lots of fun surprises, eh?

"Great Walking Area"

As a kid, my mom worked over on sixth street. I went to school in Park Slope, so afterward I would walk to sixth street to meet my mom after work. We would get food, of course from a local pizzeria. I don't remember the name of the pizza shop but they had the best ziti pizza. There also used to be a unique italian ice place with about 20 flavors including peanut butter. I love this place!

"I love this place!"

I used to live here when I was really young. I loved this neighborhood. Nice and quiet. Parts of it seem quiet suburban but with a Brooklyn touch. There are a lot of bodegas nearby and family owned shops. I used to get free ring pops from a Ma and Pop store before Pop died. So sad. But its a beautiful area and the people are wonderful. I recommend it!

"Nice stores and food"

So..what do you want to buy today? Go to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. You will find every store you wanted. Every store you didn't think of or know about. And every store that needs to be there. So much food and shopping to do. Atlantic avenue mall has Target now. I was so glad to see that. Brooklyn needed a good Target.

"Great for All Ages!"

I remember going to school over here as a child. I loved this place. After school, I would go to Ozzie's and have a chocolate croissant. But I digress. My school had one of the best playgrounds, there are plenty of shops over here and it is a nice neighborhood to live in. Many bohemian people live here so its nice and calm. Families, Couples, Retirees, come to sixth avenue!

"Wow what is this?"

What is Court Street becoming? A small times square? I revisited Court Street last year. It has completely changed! It is a haven for hipsters I guess. With the new barnes and noble and american apparel, this place is going somewhere. And I think I like it. I'm not a hipster, but I'm glad to see this street catering toward a younger crowd now.

"Nice Calm Day to Hang Out on Montague!"

Do you want some food? A nice area to sit outside and eat? A few stores to peruse through? Go to Montague Street. Its a cute place around Brooklyn Heights to take a chill day. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. However, if you're afraid of dogs like I am, be careful! There are a lot of dog walkers around here.

"Are you kidding me?"

Well I'm going to be brutally honest here. Do you want the good news or bad news first? Okay let's give the good news first. Rent has been good within the last oh 30 years. My mom lived on that street before she moved out of her parents apartment at 20 years old. She will be 50 next year and her mother and sister still live there, paying very little money for such a great apartment. The bad news? I lived with my grandmother for about a month one summer, and at the beginning, I was terrified of the roaches. By the end of the month, I was picking roaches up like they were my friends. I never got used to the mice. Oh and I remember visiting Grandma one day and there was blood and glass on the first floor of her building. Yep, someone got shot there. Oh and there is a bullet hole in my Grandma's window. Yep someone shot randomly up to her floor. So do yourself a favor, and get far away from Lenox Road. I mean Kings County Hospital is nearby, but you may not make it.

"Great Brownstone Living"

I loved living on Bergen Street. A short distance from some great local places. I lived here for two years as I was going to school. There are some cute shops around here and the people around are nice. Everything you can need is on or around this street. However, some places are old and could need a bit more sprucing up. I visited last year and a lot was the same as 8 years ago!

"Nice Neighborhood along the bridge"

This street is right near the heart of Brooklyn. Its where I grew up, so its close to my heart as well. Right along to the Brooklyn Bridge, this street is a prime area for anyone with the right bank account. The apartment complex Concord Village is on this street, where anyone can and should live. Friendly people, friendly neighborhood. This is located near downtown Brooklyn, so you will be near the shops, but far away enough from the violence and people on Fulton. You are also a short distance from the promenade. Also, if you want exercise or to go into Manhattan, you are only a bridge walk away. I lived there for 10 years.
