"Quaint place to live"

Okay so I lived around the corner but i know the area really well. The best possible thing about living on 204th is the accesibility to all things necessary. On 204 there is a huge laundramat , supermarket and you are right up the block from a gorgeous park and right down the block from all the public transportation you can need. It is a quiet street and everyone is friendly. The only downside is the limited parking..

"Lots of stores and shops"

So 225th is home to starbucks, marshalls, target , planet fitness and other things. As you probably have guessed this is not the place to raise children . THERE IS NO PLACE TO PARK . However you are very close to metro north and city transportation. Broadway is right down the street as well , on broadway you have acces to numerous shops and stores and IHOP hmmm. On the plus side there is also a school one block up towards kingsbridge. Like i said though there is nothing much for a child to do around here except run around target or hang out in front of the store and that spells trouble to me.

"Cool place not to bad"

So bedford park is a cool place to live , Lehman college bought its first dorm there last year, dont fret it only houses about 25 students. Bedford park has a few good places to eat cathc the bus the train a cab, and buy the household item. A big supermarket is located on the webster side of bedford ( great prices). On the downside the streets off of bedford arent the greatest noisy, crime problems, and bedford alone is home to a bus route so its not the lightest on thru traffic. Otherwise those concern its pretty nice.

"Disgusting , Please dont live here"

My cousin lives here with two children and I must say this street is absolutely dis-gus-ting. The landlords and supers are filthy people they throw there garbage in the middle of the sidewalk. There are big fat rats running around. Although this is very close to one of the major shopping areas in the bronx , i would only wish that my ex best friend live here. Seriously though the building have numerous violations and are in proceedings to be condemed by the city. Do not go here unless necessary.

"Mixed feelings, noisy but convenient"

A hair salon, nail salon , laundramat , a community center and hospital on one side and apartment building on the other. First off there is NEVER parking. I have a friend who lives here and I worked for the community center. The good thing about living here is the acces to jerome and the pharmacys, resturants and stores. The bad thing is the crowdedness ... the street has alot of vehicular traffic as well as pedestrian. The community center lines yellow busses up in front through out the summer , in the morning and afternoon. There is the noise from the train (convienently nearby ) and emergency crews coming all times of the night. This is an ideal place to live if you work in the hospital or community center but not to raise a family.

"Stay away Unless you have a sense of the communtiy"

I have a friend who lives here. The community is great so long as they know you and they try their hardest to create unity amongst the neighborhood. However the teenagers hang out on the street all day even though there is a crappy teen program located on the block. the summers are dangerous with shootings and fights. The Neighborhood has a lot of issues with other neighborhoods around here. There is a vast amount of drugs/alcohol around . On the plus side Jerome is right up the block and loaded with resturants , shops , and public transportation and across the street is the play ground.

"Crowded --where's the space"

Okay so I lived here for 2 yrs. So this is not necessarily the nicest place but it is no where near the worst. There is hardly any parking because of the teachers and the doctors. Let me clarify , Two major hospital are about two blocks away and the down the street you have two school. The good thing about living here is that it isnt extremely noisy and there is a playground for the children a block over. Also near here is Jerome avenue in which you have discount store , mc D's , BK, spanish resturant and more. In the other direction you have Bainbridge with a huge park and the same amenities as jerome ave.

"Really quiet ...nice place to live"

Okay so I attended Lehman College which is right down the street and Bronx High school of science which is right across the street. The only housing on this street is the Co-op called Scott Towers. Parking is plentiful at night during the day the college students grab what they can get. The street is locate about three blocks in either direction to public transportation. There is a huge field called Harris right in the middle where most of the little league play. There is also a reservoir up the street which is a great place to run. Downside of this area is there are no really close store or supermarkets. However, there are constant events at Lehman, plays, concert and festivals to keep you entertained.

"Around the corner makes a difference"

E 205th between the concourse and moshulo is an interesting place. I have lived there for four yrs and seen the changes. The street is "bi-polar" during the summer children play in the street, the hydrant is open, the neighbors are drinking and grilling food on the sidewalk ahhh, and then comes the winter.. no one is really outside and the street looks a little desolate. This is a one way street so it does cause some traffic issues when people double park. The good thing is that there is a small grocery store in the middle of the street and a supermarkets a block away. Public transportation is right up the block. There are two schools nearby (3 blocks away). People on this street have the tendency to be nosy and loud and the cops constantly drive through but are not always around when you need them. P.s fourth of july and the weeks prior are very loud ...thats right expect to see fireworks outside of your window.

"Comparable to Living in Riverdale"

I lived in this neighborhood for approx. 7 years and on this street specifically for two years. The street is nice and clean. There is a huge park down the hill in the mornings you will often find your neighbors walking their dog, jogging and/or taking the kids to school. The supermarkets are two blocks away and there is a grocery store around the corner. Living here is nice, morning hello's, good afternoon how-are you's, the only downside is the parking and that is usually not to bad either unless your home late after 6pm. The subway and busses are right up the street and if you like cats thats a plus because you will se quite a number roaming around. Living here is comparable to living in riverdale at half the price. p.s alot of older people live on this street which keeps it quite but you can still feel free to have a party every once in a while or a bar b que, the neighbors usually dont complain
