How is the Lawrence & Magnolia area?

I'm an international graduate student at DePaul University and I've just applied for a 2BR apartment at Lawrence & Magnolia. It is only a 2-3 minute walk to the Lawrence Red Line stop, and seems perfect for me to commute to the Loop for class and work. Considering that I have classes in the evening, I would be returning late during the weekdays. Is this area safe to return to after 10pm?

The Lawrence and Magnolia area will have people walking around in the later hours of the evening. The Aragon and Riviera theaters are in the area, which makes weekends alive with people visiting these venues. You will be fine, just as in any big city stay aware of your immediate surroundings.
