No it is not. Temple medical is in North Philadelphia. That is not a nice area. You could, however, live anywhere on Broad Street, and the Broad Street Subway directly to campus. Living on Broad Street close to city hall is your best bet for walkability, but the closer to city hall you get the more expensive it will be.

University City is home to Drexel, UPenn, and some smaller schools.
