Is Union Vale a good place to raise kids?

I'll say yes. It's definitely a quieter town unlike Poughkeepsie, but it's not horribly isolated, either. Union Vale has good schools, larger homes, and is clean and green. There are also some nice parks for them in which to play and the population is rising, which means more potential friends for your kids. Finally, the town is pretty dominated by families and married couples as about two-thirds are married, and the average age of its residents is under 40.

It's a wealthier area, but there are enough affordable houses here to make it work for plenty of families and the property taxes aren't much worse than the state average.
