"The Pinery is a well to do community south of Denver"

The Pinery is a community in Douglas County tucked away just 5 miles east of I-25 just north of the Castle Rock area. While it is only about 5 miles from the interstate you wouldnt even know it was there. It is just south of Parker and accessible to downtown Denver giving an easy commute or access to restaurants and shopping in the south Denver metro area.

The Pinery Country Club is a large, open golf course with a nice reservoir and community buildings. The neighborhoods of Pinery are for the most part situated with open large properties as well and there are a lot of pine trees:)

The population is about 7,000 people and the average median income for a household is over $100,000. This is obviously an affluent area and a relatively new creation as far as communities in Colorado go.

"A beautiful subdivision on rolling hills with gorgeous views"

The Pinery is a part of Parker, Colorado, a town which has seen a ton of growth over the last 20 years. Through all the growth though, this area has stayed relatively the same. The homes are spread out, each on large lots or a little bit of acreage and none of them look alike. They sit in an area which has numerous pine trees and shrubbery. The homes are all priced above average and in the median price range of $320,000, with the median family income of just over $100,000.

The homes in this area are so spread out there is never any traffic until you leave on Parker Road. With the overwhelming growth of the area in general, this main thoroughfare is crowded at peak times and can get pretty backed up, mostly heading north.

Near the base of the development there is a 27 hole golf course broken up into three sections: the mountain, the lake, and the valley. There is also a swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness center, and restaurant.

There's no shopping in this neighborhood, but there are numerous stores only a few miles away, along with bars and restaurants.

The local schools in the area rate above average in both academics and athletics. A K-8 school lies near the entrance to the development, just off of Parker Road. In the last conducted census, 50% of the homes had children under the age of 18.

If you're looking for a place to live that is beautiful, quiet, and feels far away but is really close to many things, this may be the place for you.
Pros
  • peaceful

Cons
  • traffic getting to the area from the highway
