Here is the website for Somers Parks and Rec: http://www.somersny.com/Pages/SomersNY_Parks/index and there are many choices of things to do! We also have two fitness centers: NY Sports Center and Anytime Fitness. Heritage Hills in Somers offers two golf courses: The East Hill Course at Somers Pointe Golf Club is a 9-hole regulation length golf course in Somers, New York. This short layout features 4 sets of teeboxes for the enjoyment of golfers of all skill levels. There is another course on this same property, the West Hill Course. Online tee times may be available at Somers Pointe Golf Club or at nearby golf courses, usually offered at a discount from the normal rate. Reis Park has tennis, basketball, a playground, baseball/softball fields and walking trails!

Those into Radio Control racing may appreciate knowing about Galli Mods Hobby Shop and Raceway. While the address for the place says Mahopac, it is just round the corner from Somers Commons. One of my kids went their for a birthday party and the kids had several Radio Control car races - I haven't seen anything like these around here and I thought it was an unusual recreation opportunity. I believe there are all kinds of races for kids and adults in the indoor and outdoor tracks.

Oh, there are several lovely ones! The family-friendly Muscoot Farm Park is open year-round and offers tours of the farm, hayrides, various special events and programs in addition to a good seven miles of walking trails that run through fields, forest and even wetlands. The 234-acre Lasdon Park is glorious with woods, meadows and manicured gardens with flowers from around the globe. It also contains a few memorials and a museum that honors Westchester County war veterans. Reis Park has playing fields, playgrounds, trails, basketball and tennis courts, a skate park and even a library,
