"Palo Park in north Boulder is one of the cities nearest neighborhoods"

This neighborhood has a lot of new townhome construction and many of the new construction complexes require by city ordinance that they offer 20% of the units up for sale through the affordable housing program. Two of my close friends have done this and a 3 bedroom townhome that would normally be around $230,000 was $130,000. This is an amazing opportunity that gets a lot of debate, there are some downsides but considering the market the resale restrictions for now make little or no difference. This is a great program for those who have a family, want to live in Boulder, work in Boulder, and make less than about $40,000.

There is a big double soccer field area in the neighborhood and many bike and walking trails in the area as well as a creek path. North Boulder's shops are close by as well as access to Foothills Highway to Denver without having to go through Boulder.

There are some older farms out in the Jay Road area that add character and beauty and contrast with the new construction. The way that the city has blended the old with the new is unique, the colors of the new construction are colorful and modern.

The Boulder Reservoir is just to the north and of course the north is also the gateway to Lyons and eventually Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. This neighborhood should not be overlooked, it offers a more affordable option for living and owning property in expensive but worth it beautiful Boulder.
