"A small neighborhood that houses a large golf course"

Although the Aurora Hills neighborhood is mostly comprised of a golf course, the few homes in the area are ideally situated for being in such a busy area. The homes are older, but are all nice and well kept. The streets are wider than normal and the people all seem friendly. Although this neighborhood is bordered by some busy streets such as Alameda, Peoria, and the highway, when you're within the borders just east of Alameda, it feels almost as if you're in your own little oasis. It's quiet and calm amid the hustle and bustle of the city around it.

The golf course was built in 1969 and has 18 holes. There are three tees for varying abilities of golfers and it has a driving range, a pro on staff, club rental, and cart rental. This course is definitely what makes the neighborhood a better place.

Just west of I-225, located on Potomac are a few businesses and apartment complexes. Due to the location of the apartment complexes, the cost of living can vary a lot depending on your actual address. Although the shopping here isn't great, there are numerous places around the area, along with dining and other attractions. Only several minutes north down Potomac you can reach some of Colorado's best hospitals. Several minutes south down the same road and you find yourself at the Medical Center of Aurora, another very good hospital.

There are also three different churches in the neighborhood, all on the south side of the subdivision.

Overall, the area just south of the golf course which borders Alameda is a really nice little neighborhood that is well maintained and seems very welcoming. The established landscaping and trees lend to the beauty of the area.
Pros
  • Some great houses next to the golf course

  • Traffic during peak times
