"Sherwood Oregon Rated "Best Places to Live' by CNN Money Magzine, 2007"

Welcome to Sherwood Oregon. For years Sherwood has offered something special, but recently CNN's Money Magazine named Sherwood, Oregon the 18th best place to live in the USA. This small town made big time news. The rankings were released Monday, July 16, and it was revealed that Sherwood was Oregon's highest rated town, according to the Oregonian. On the list but falling short of the top 25 was Lake Oswego (ranked 32nd) followed by Camas (ranked 63rd). Oregonians are proud to have these three titles in the nations top 100.

Rankings were based on the each town's economic opportunity, education programs, quality of life, weather, and community as assessed by the magazine. With no sales tax, a number of prestigious colleges and universities in the surrounding area, and an extremely low crime index as compared to the top 100 places to live average, Sherwood has a lot of offer its residents, not just in town, but in the surrounding areas.

The magazine said that Sherwood is quickly growing - in fact, one of the fastest growing towns in Oregon, and always has something going on around town. Portland may be a short commute away but Sherwood itself has a lot to offer. Summer provides fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Music on the Green, Crusin', and the Robin Hood Festival are only a few events that make Sherwood so special. While its residents have known its wonders all along, now everyone can see the perks of living in beautiful Sherwood, Oregon.
