"A tiny town where everyone really does know everyone's name"

Raymer is a quiet, tiny little town near the northeast corner of Colorado. As of last count, Raymer had only 96 residents: 49 males and 47 female. The median household income is $38,950, and you can get a home here for the median price of $63,396. A good portion of the residents work in construction.

There isn't too much to do in Raymer and the nearest town of any size is Fort Morgan which is about 30 miles away, and also the closest town for shopping and medical care. Greeley is much bigger than Fort Morgan, and can be reached in just under an hour.

A large part of Raymer looks like a ghost town. There are abandoned buildings, homes, and grain elevators, all giving clues to years gone by. The homes that are lived in are mostly smaller and charming but give the feeling of remoteness.

Unless someone was ranching or farming the land, I can't imagine too many people wanting to live here. The town has little to offer other than hot, dry, dusty summers and winters filled with cold winds that chill to the bone.
Pros
  • peace and quiet
Cons
  • remote
  • no amenities
