"Growing Very Quickly"

Alabaster is located in central Alabama, in Shelby County. It is growing very quickly and filling up with people and businesses. Located off of Highway 31 and I 65, you have good access to main roads. This can make your commute somewhat easier!

Alabaster has a lot to offer for just about anyone. There are more activities for children than you could ever go to, several parks, youth league sports, and an excellent school system. Shelby County Schools have scored 100% AYP for several years in a row. There are also free movies in the park on Friday nights.

The crime rate in Alabaster is very low; and the crime rate for dangerous crimes is almost nonexistant. The police are friendly and keep a watchful eye on the city. However, they are too strict!

Alabaster offers many different churches to go to. The community is very friendly and there are many programs for seniors and retirees. If you need a friend, there are plenty of places to go and get them in this town!

Also, it is a great place for a career minded individual. It is located around twenty miles south of Birmingham and many large corporate headquarters. The unemployment rate is very low and most places always have job openings.

I have lived here twenty years and have loved every minute. I have watched it go from the small town life, to a growing, happening city. There are huge new shopping centers, grocery stores, new fire stations, and police substations now. Not only is Alabaster safe, but it centers around the family.

I love it and I'm sure you will too!

road2runr Alabaster does offer a lot of conveniences, including some excellent facilities for youth sports. Alabaster was ahead of the curve in providing an excellent facility that is used by travel baseball teams. Alabaster is a reasonable commute to downtown Birmingham, Alabama, and Alabaster also offers some excellent values in real estate, with very affordable housing for those looking to purchase a home in the Birmingham area.
