"Scotts Hill Community-www.ScottsHillNews.com"
I have lived in the Scotts Hill Community for over 7 years. Scotts Hill is the type of neighborhood where a friendly wave is common as well as a smile and hug. In the center of the community’s “Loop” is the most beautiful scenery you will see-The Intracoastal Waterway, Figure Eight Island and a glimpse of Topsail Island. The Scotts Hill Marina currently offers Day passes for water access as well. Nestled at the entrance of this one of a kind community is the Historic Poplar Grove Plantation with a history that dates back to George Washington’s passing through the area. New to the community is the Abbey Nature Preserve that offers bird enthusiasts and nature lovers a peaceful oasis to enjoy a walk and much needed quiet time. Scotts Hill is home to the award-winning Topsail School District. A couple of miles away is the newly developed Scotts Hill Village that offers a SurgCare and has proposed a “satellite” 60 bed hospital and mixed use residential, retail and office space. A wonderful addition that lends value without taking away the charm of the serenity of Scotts Hill. Take a look at the wonderful photos of our neighborhood submitted mostly by residents of the community at www.ScottsHillNews.com
