Can one fish on the Wappinger Creek in Pleasant Valley?

And if a permit is required, what fees and where to acquire?

I haven't fished in Wappinger Creek, but I have a few buddies who have. They say it's pretty slim pickings, but you can relax and maybe catch a few smaller fish.

Yes, it seems you can. The creek is listed on the Public Fishing Rights Map. There are yellow signs posted around the bank which indicate where you can and cannot fish. You are allowed to catch any sized trout, but no more than five a day according to Dutchess County Special Fishing Regulations.
