"Nice quiet family neighborhood"

Its a quiet neighborhood, houses and lawns are well kept, everyone is friendly. People walk their dogs and with their children, jog, lots of people outside when its nice, very safe to be out and about. We are super close to Ball State but dont really have any student housing in the neighborhood. Lots of families with kids and older folks who have been here a long time. Being so near the university gives you lots of fun free things to do, a state of the art planetarium, art museum, the Minnetrista Cultural center in close by and has tons of family activities throughout the year. We are almost within walking distance, certainly within close driving distance to multiple grocery stores, dollar stores, a Walmart, fast food, lots of shopping options. Downtown is about 10 mins away. It is Muncie schools and Westview is the elementary we are districted to and its a great school and Burris Laboratory School, an excellent lottery school is about 5 mins away if you are lucky enough to get in. You also have access to Burriss playground which is quite nice. There are tennis courts at the middle school which is just at the outskirts of the neighborhood. Its a great neighborhood and we love it.
Pros
  • Quiet and friendly
  • Close access to pretty much everything
  • Safe
Cons
  • Traffic can be kind of bad right outside the neighborhood when the university has events.
