Would you recommend the NoHo neighborhood in New York City for families with kids?

Yes and no. It's smack in the middle of downtown so there's a lot of traffic and a lot going on which can be kind of scary if you have little kids. The area around Nolita is great because there are a lot of trees and the streets are quaint. But, I don't know that I would want to have little kids closer to the East Village or Soho. There are just too many people and too much trash.
