The Met is awesome! I'm an art and design student and I frequent the Met almost every week it seems. Each time I go I find something new and interesting. The Egyptian and Greek side is definitely my favorite. It's great to live in New York City and have all these resources at hand. Pictures in the art history textbooks just don't do justice for what you can see in person.
I'm not sure if the MOMA still has the Tim Burton exhibit but everyone should see his work! The Bauhaus exhibit reminded everything I've done for homework, a bit boring for me.
The Bodies Exhibition was fabulous. It's on 11 Fulton St near the Seaport. The way the exhibit is divided, it really shows you how the body works and there's people in fancy white coats that will answer all your questions. If you're an art student, there's drawing nights where you can bring your own chair and sit in front of the bodies and sketch them out. If you're not available for one of these nights, you will be forced to stand! At the end of the exhibition, there's a station where you can play with three body parts!
