Living alternatives...?

IMHO ~ in today's economy everyone needs to do what they can afford. Everyone doesn’t have the means to live in a castle and I think this beats living on the streets as a homeless person. I think it's neat to see how others deal with daily living circumstances.

I like it when people are backed into a corner, innovation generally thrives. This is one such case where people have seen a big problem in the economy, seen a problem to solve, and created a fantastic solution! I just wish their sales video was a little more upmarket :)

Actually, these look nice. But where would we park it?

A few summers ago, I vacationed in GA - waiting in line at a restaurant I met some of RV folks who were all interested in "coming to the city" to see a few broadway shows etc - and wanted to know what the best RV campgrounds were for NYC!

I really didn't know, but they had checked out Morristown NJ, and Bear Mountain area - and were somewhat disappointed to hear that these were not exactly minutes away from downtown Manhattan!

Creativity for me has meant doubling up more than the apartment was designed to hold. Anyone doing that? And what about creative subletting? (no, I don't really live here, I just walk the dog, take out the garbage, sleep here,,,,)

Regarding the 'Tiny House Blog' http://blog.streetadvisor.com/streetadvisor/2008/09/surviving-the-h.html
~ I thought this could be another option keeping this same concept as that story and blog.

I would rather do something that's being offered from the Breckenridge Park Model Trailers, Log Cabins & Cottages… They are better designed with full-sized features and a lot of storage all under 400sq. ft. roof.

If one was truly interested in buying a unit I would call the manufacture and inquire of dealers and parks that accept this kind of accommodation. I suspect they have dealers located throughout the county...
