Fish's Eddy

Can I just say that this place is fantastic. I have a case of the chungers; so, I am constantly breaking dishes and coffee mugs. You plop right over to Union Square and voila: 4 mugs, 2 plates and a couple of high balls for 10 bucks! The inventory is eclectic cute too . . . not like matchy Ikea stuff. Anyone have any other cheapy but goodie suggestions in Downtown?

What exactly is Fish's Eddy? Are there products high in quality at those prices?

@Neversleeps Housewares stuff- pots, pans, plates, glasses and whatnot. It does the standards for not too much money, but doesn't have any items that are special in any way. The drawback is that you can always tell when you see something bought at either Ikea or Fishs Eddy.

@Uraniumfish I have that issue with Ikea - I am loathe to buy anything besides cutting boards and measuring cups there. The city has so much to offer in terms of commodities, why not do a little searching to find something that really compliments your style?

I was really excited to come across this place the other day: http://www.johnderian.com/index_home.html

By no means is it inexpensive, but I think spending a bit more on a few flair items really pays off.

If the price of stuff is cheap, I'll go take a look. I'm not too interested in kitchen stuff. My girlfriend complains about not enough room to house it all. Shelving is the biggest problem for us, however, not enough space for it.

@NeverSleeps The website is certainly stylish.

I'd love to get a stylish lamp somewhere, but don't want to spend more than say $35. Anyone have suggestions? I guess I've got pretty rigid requirements for both aesthetics and price.
