Damaged Painting at the MMA to be Repaired
By now, I guess most people have heard about the incident at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. According to sources, a museum visitor somehow lost her footing and fell into a 6 foot painting of Pablo Picasso's "The Actor." The accident resulted in a six-inch tear in the lower right hand corner.
The painting should be repaired in time for an exhibition in April.
I can't see how any person can lose their footing in that place. The floors are smooth with no ridges. Someone I talked to about it, said they think she did it on purpose because she didn't like the painting.
I don't know about that. Has anyone seen the painting? What do you think is the reason for her losing her balance?
Being a former investigative reporter, I am being curious about it.
