A Pushy Sales Person in Front of a Business in NYC

I would like to know what do you people think when you walk down the street, and someone comes toward you, screaming about some special they have in the place of business they came from?

I realize they are trying to get business, but they can be annoying by the way they approach you.

What do you people think when you run into a pushy sales person?

@hhusted I especially hate the fragrance ladies at the department stores and avoid them as far as possible..

I don't mind the fragrance ladies as much as I mind people with flyers.
One thing I've noticed is that restaurant hawkers absolutely turn me off - my logic is - if you need to try and force me to come inside, clearly the food wasn't that great to begin with.

I think the same way, ajdadedidealist. I hate pushy people to begin with. If they have to create a scene just to lure people into the store or restaurant, the establishment must not be doing to great and are getting desperate.

I don't have to worry about fragrances, uptowngirl, since I am never near them.

I certainly don't like having people spray scents at me either - come to think of it - but usually they ask first!

Reason I don't walk down Mulberry Street is those obnoxious maitre-d type guys out in front of the Italian restaurants.

Thanks for the warning, Uraniumfish. I think I'll stay away from Mulberry St. Maybe I'll go one day and just take a peek and see if anyone is outside. If they are, I'll go the other way. :)
