I'm not really a fan of Mount Greenwood, as the crime rate is a bit higher there than other places I believe, and I'm just not a South-sider, but there are a few public transportation options. Personally, I'd try elsewhere though. You'll have better luck

Not the best, but not the worst. Mt Greenwood has access to 382, 383, & 385 buses, which will get you to other parts of the city or to train stations in other neighborhoods.
