What are the best restaurants in Mission District for a potential waitress?

Moving to the area for school and would like to get a waitressing job somewhere near wherever I live and since I am a college student, Mission District seems like the most logical choice? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what I've gathered from researching.

Mission District especially on Valencia will have some places that need waitresses. I would also try some of the places in surrounding neighborhoods like Noe and up by Cole Valley and especially up in and around the Financial District/Nob Hill/Russian Hill--upper crust type restaurants catering to business types and tourists who probably tip better. Really there is no shortage of restaurants in the eastern half of SF--lots of tourists and commercial activity and people who think that $3000/month is not an outrageous price for a 1 bedroom.

Which is a long way around to saying don't just limit yourself to the Mission unless you think you will thrive particularly well in a hipster type vibe. Good luck in the job hunt!
