Are any parts of Manhattan Valley in New York City more safe than others?

No. Manhattan Valley is really small and it's all quite pretty and safe. If I had to split hairs, though, I would say I would try to stay around Amsterdam and east of that. Broadway is the iffiest of the neighborhood.
