Strawberry Fields in New York City

In Central Park, near the entrance at Central Park West and West 72nd Street, there is a small oasis planted by Yoko Ono in honor of John Lennon. It has beautiful, luxurious grasses and a real sense of peace. There is a mosaic circle inscribed with the word "Imagine"

I'm now imagining warm weather and the chance to sit there.

I didn't know that. Is it tended year-round in some special way?

I saw that on the anniversary of John Lennon's death. Bunch of people gathered around singing his songs there. It was really incredible.

I'm guessing the grasses aren't so luxurious at the moment. I've known about the Strawberry Fields monument forever, but have still never been. Is anyone else nervous about strolling around Central Park after that killer tree limb incident?
