Six Items or less

We often talk about fashion and style on these forums and I just happened to come across and interesting piece in the NYtimes that mentions an interesting experiment being carried out by a small group of people around the world wherein they survive on only 6 items of clothing for an entire month.
The experiment was created by Heidi Hackemar a Manhattan advertising executive and her friend Tamsin Davies of London to wear just six items of clothing from her wardrobe for an entire month.

Could you do so in the stifling NY heat? I wear jeans a lot but I doubt if I could survive on 1/2 pairs and a couple of shirts for an entire month..what of you?

Actually, because I am a homebody right now, I don't think that would be a problem for me. I've done it in the past, especially when I lived in a room and could only carry so many clothes. I just watched the clothes more often.

I could totally do it. I have a ton of clothes but care so little any more about what I'm wearing, especially in this heat. My classmates make fun of me all the time because of the difference between what is in my closet and the limited rotation of what is on my person when I show up to school.

I'd have to wash the clothes every single day in this heat.

Also, unrelated question: how do SoHo women manage not to look sweaty in this heat? Do these women not sweat? Do they have a secret anti-perspiration chemical they ingest? Am I the only person in the world who daily loses the fight against underarm stains?

As long as that doesn't include underwear, I'm all for it! When I travel I pack extremely light - and I still feel I have too many clothes! I could definitely live on 6 items of clothing...
