My guilty pleasure- The Real Housewives of New York City

So yesterday was the premiere of BravoTV's third season of the wildly popular show- The Real Housewives of New York City. -http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city. Of all the housewives series the NYC one seems to be the best. Does anyone else watch this catty-girl fest?

@uptowngirl So, I tried to watch an episode online, just to see what the show's all about. Those women are hideous with each other! I can see how there can be a fascinating horror to watch their awful personalities unfold, but...wow.

@Uraniumfish yes they are awful to one another.. especially on this season.. gives you an insight into the rarefied world of NYC's wealthy but not necessarily happy...

@DBlack they are all over 40.. don't you think they look it?

@ajadedidealist aha I think each appeals to a different demographic don't you think?anyway do you manage to see it in Oxbridge ?I usually manage do watch my US shows online overseas.. let me know if you want any tips..and I will pm them to you..

I have seen The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I hated all of those women. Their lives are so...vapid. And I'm usually all about the vapid reality shows, but there is something really sad about the lives of wealthy trophy wives. I imagine that the housewives in New York are a different story, at least in the seperate cultural setting, but still much the same.

@uptowngirl Yeah. They all look really old! Why did they only choose women over 40? There have to be younger housewives too? Would that be a good idea demographically?

@DBlack I guess it would help to attract a younger crowd .. but then in NYC many women do tend to marry in their late 30's and early 40's don't they ? Most of women in NYC do have careers before they chose to settle down and have children etc...

@BroadwayBK I have to say one thing about the NYC wives apropos the wives in the other cities.. most of the NYC wives seem to be working women and not just trophy wives..
