Building Workers Strike

A couple of weeks ago the managing agents of our building sent out a note that the building workers are likely to go on strike on April 21 and they sent out a form asking residents to volunteer to fill in for service staff. I didnt think at that time the strike would happen but it seems to be on according to reports. Are you aware of the impending strike? How is your building gearing up for the strike if it does eventually happen?

That's strange - I had no idea the strike was going on! I hope a tank doesn't overflow/heater goes out/etc in thus current week.

@ajadedidealist it is scheduled for the 21st of April about three weeks from now but even then I hope nothing goes wrong during the strike..if at all it happens.

@Uptowngirl: Oh, boy. Will you be gone by that time? How will your building be affected by the strike? I know you spoke about volunteers. Also, they are asking for volunteers. Why not pay people to fill in during the strike. Shoot, I think the residents would be quicker to respond if they knew they were getting paid.
