A worrying development

We have sidestepped the whole Park51 mosque issue on this forum but now its too much in my face to ignore as it has inspired a hate crime in NYC

http://dnainfo.com/20100825/murray-hill-gramercy/muslim-cab-driver-stabbed-hate-crime

So very out of character for NYC.. all these politicians are whipping up a frenzy over the issue. I wonder if any of them know that downtown NYC was once hosted the Arab population of NYC.

Well, considering the history of Islam, I can understand the fear people have. However, Muslims aren't the ones causing the problem. It is the extremist Islams that are doing the damage. Those are the ones we have to be concerned about.

@hhusted Considering the history of Christianity, I wonder why more people aren't scared of it!

@BroadwayBK Seriously, and here's proof of another violent crime in the name of Christianity. This makes me sick.

Thank goodness the cabbie was okay! I've got to say this whole thing is somewhat terrifying...I hate to see what's happening to this country sometimes. Makes me depressed.
