Are there any areas of Lakewood that get very congested during rush hour traffic?

I have to agree with Mary. Since 6th Avenue is such a major thoroughfare through this part of town it can get really bad - bumper to bumper moving at a crawl lasting anywhere from I-25 all the way out to I-70 it seems. Although it does seem worse closer to I-25 with all the traffic merging onto it.

The 6th Ave. freeway going east tends to get pretty congested. The arteries that lead to it -- Wadsworth, Kipling, Sheridan, etc. get more crowded as well. The still run at the speed limit for the most part, but it takes longer to get through the lights. And Colfax gets pretty busy as well.
