"A true little Colorado mountain town"

Just over 1,300 people call Kittredge home. This small town in the mountains west of Denver has some nice views, lots of wildlife, and friendly neighbors. Although I've only been to Kittredge a couple of times, I am always struck with how friendly and laid back the people who live here are. Life in these small towns just seems to be slower and people seem to care about one another.

The average median income in Kittredge is $73,456 which is about $18,000 over the median household income for the state of Colorado. The homes prices here are higher, as many of them come with great mountain property. The median home price here is about $50,000 over the state average.

The population is primarily white, at 93%, followed by hispanic. Many of the residents work in healthcare and construction as well as in the professional, scientific, and technical services fields. There are a lot of registered nurses who call Kittredge home.

One of the benefits to living in Kittredge is the amount of things there are to do here. There's tons of hiking, camping, hunting, and numerous other outdoor adventures to be had. It's less than 20 minutes up to I-70 and then there are numerous skiing areas just a bit farther west.

Overall, I think Kittredge would be a great place to live for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and living in the mountains.
