Is the westchase/briar forest/buffalo bayou/westside area a good area to live?

I'm planning to move there, but I'm new in Houston, so I'd appreciate any tip.... I'm going to work in Galleria but it's pretty difficult find some affordable place there!

The Westchase area is a energetic place to live. It is thriving with business, restaurants, shopping and new construction. Prices for homes will vary depending on what you are looking for and where it is located. You will have a choice between single family homes, townhomes, condominiums and apartment complexes if you would like to lease for now instead of purchase. You mentioned you would be employed in The Galleria and the Weschase district is just minutes from The Galleria. The Westchase District is located at the West Sam Houston Tollway and Westheimer with easy access to the rest of Houston and both major airports from Beltway 8, I-10, US 59 and the Westpark Tollway. Hope this helps.
