"A lot of history in this small neighborhood"

Horseshoe Park is a busy section of Aurora as it's bordered by Chambers Road and East Mississippi Avenue. But in 1982 archaeologists found some rather interesting things in Horseshoe Park. There were the remains of an adult and child which dated back to 670 AD and they also found an ancient campfire. Around the campfire were stone tools and bone fragments from a Buffalo. The park itself has a small creek running through it called West Toll Gate Creek. There is a lot of brush, rocks, open space, and wildlife such as ducks. It's easy to imagine this place as being a stopping place for indians or travelers many years ago.

There is another very nice park in this neighborhood called Olympic Park. This park is home to many well taken care of baseball and softball fields.

This area has numerous businesses, mostly along South Chambers Road. There are some fast food restaurants, traditional restaurants, a Walgreens, several dentistry practices and a veterinarian clinic. There are also smaller businesses and a strip mall.

Since some of the roads going through this neighborhood are busy, major roads, this area isn't what I'd call peaceful and quiet. There are always cars on the roads at all times of the day and night.

The median home price for this area is $182,000 which is slightly lower than Aurora as a whole. The median household income in this area is $49,000.
