Garfield Ridge is a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, it's pretty safe overall (especially when compared to other nearby areas) and you're right by Midway Airport in case you want to jump on a plane for a trip! Not a bad area overall, though I think the schools and homes could use some work.

Garfield Ridge is a quiet, well kept neighborhood. On the south side of the neighborhood you have Midway Airport. There are a lot more larger middle-class homes due to recent construction. This area is historically Polish but has seen a recent influx of Hispanic families.

Everyone here is very friendly. You get the feel of living in a rural neighborhood while being near the big city.
